Refer to Special Instruction, REHS4595, "Procedures for the Repair of Cracks in Reach Booms" for the correct repair procedures for the type of crack. The special instruction details six different repair procedures, depending on the type of crack. When claiming for repairs, refer to the Service Claim Allowances table for the correct claim allowances for the type of repair performed. The actual repair performed should be detailed in the claim story in the format that is shown in the example below. Example: This is a claim story for a Type A and Type D crack repair with boom reinforcement. Completed Special Instruction, REHS4595, to repair cracks in the boom.
