Students from Government Middle School in Nallavadu, Puducherry, participated in various environmental awareness campaigns including cleaning the local beach, rallies against plastic use, and seminars on ozone depletion and women's roles in environmental protection. They engaged in activities such as tree planting, composting, and field trips to learn about pollution and biodiversity, while also creating posters and participating in competitions to further awareness. The school efforts were bolstered by community support and donations, fostering a proactive attitude towards environmental stewardship among students.

- 5. “ Say no to crackers” – awareness creating sports competition We planned and conducted sports and drawing competition on Diwali day itself. Many students and some village youths participated in the competitions.
- 6. Prize Distribution by a donor Prizes were distributed by a local NGO (CEAD )
- 7. Writing Environmental Quotes on the visible places at School Students get everyday awareness about their duties to Environment
- 8. Seminar was conducted on “Role of Women in Environmental Protection”. Mr.V.Velayutham delivered a speech Kolam Competition Elocution & Prize Distribution
- 9. World Ozone Day A Seminar was conducted. School Teachers presented speeches on the Ozone Depletion . 1. Poster Making 2. Group songs 3. Prize Distribution
- 10. Tree Plantation at village NGC students planted trees in the Nallavadu village. Plants grown up well.
- 11. World Environment Day A Seminar was conducted. School Teachers presented speeches on the World Environment Day.
- 12. Global Worming Awareness Programme Dramas, Drawing Competition & Elocutions were conducted. Prizes distributed Students Pledge Writing Condemnation Letter to China, to stop Transport to Mt.Everest
- 13. Tree plantation at school Tree plantation in the school ground was done in collaboration with M.G.R. Pothunala Peravai (NGO) Trees grown well and add beauty to our school
- 14. Field Trip Field Trip to Chunnaambar River bed to visit the dump yard there Students came to know about the effects of air & water pollution
- 15. Visiting dump yard Field trip to a waste dump yard was arranged Pupil came to know the evils of mismanagement of solid wastes.
- 16. Field Trip to a Paper Recycling Center We visited a Paper recycling center at Puducherry. Pupil got interest in Paper recycling They resolved to collect and send the waste papers to waste paper buyers.
- 17. Biodiversity – Field Trips Tissue culture Unit Dairy
- 18. Setting Compost Pits Pupil collected wastes and prepared compost pits in the school and in the village. Pupil learnt the uses and methods of making compost pits .
- 19. Poster making Students Prepared Environmental awareness Posters and Drawings & Placed them for Exhibition at School. Pupil learn to explore their feelings on degradation and conservation of environment
- 20. Paper Bank A Paper Bank was opened in the School A Pupil level committee was appointed to guide the collection of waste papers daily. The Waste paper buyer was called to our school to collect regularly the Waste Papers. Our pupils felt practically, the uses of paper recycling. The School also gets monitory benefit by this activity.
- 21. Documentation of Local Bioresources Students were divided into several groups to collect details about Bio-resources in the Nallavadu village. The information are collected by the respective teacher in charges. They did this activity with great interest and improved their local knowledge .

- 23. Coastal Walk We went on a Coastal walk to get awareness about the Sand Dunes in Nallavadu Village. Students learned the importance of Sand Dunes and coastal plants
