- 3. On this double page the designer has chosen to use a mars black background to create contrast with the pictures/images in the foreground. The images used do not have any black in them so that is stands out from the background more. The page is very plain and simple without much detail. This adds the effect of the page as they want you to think about the main sentence on the page. The font used is white to contrast with the background and it is in a serif style font to make it look more sophisticated and intellectual as the image is of a brain.
- 4. On this double page there is an industrial feel to it which gives it a more rustic edge to make readers feel more relaxed whilst reading it. There is an advertisement down the right hand side of the page. It is positioned on the right so that it is not in the way of the information yet it is still visible. There are relevant pictures on the page that link to the text that is being used. This is so that people can feel more involved and can understand more about what the writer is talking about. The magazine logo is at the top left of the page so the first thing that the reader sees will be the logo so that they can easily identify the magazine. There is a neutral colour scheme in the background (browns, Greys, Cream) and there are bright vivid reds and blues used in the pictures and foreground so that they stand out and catch your eye.
