Born in Angola in 1970 of Portuguese nationality, Álvaro Barbosa is a Full-Professor with an academic and professional background in Engineering, Arts, and Computer Science. For over 20 years he worked for international Universities in Europe, North America, and Asia, serving as a scholar, researcher, and undertaking numerous academic leadership positions as coordinator, dean, and vice-rector. He is currently responsible for the areas of internationalization and strategic development as a vice-rector at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), in Macao, S.A.R. China.
