Editor's Notes

  • #5: Starting at the main menu. Begin at the Traffic menu, which controls most of the activities of the warehouse. Receiving, Issues and Moves are the principals with Confirm and Replenish offered as secondary items. Receiving is described first..
  • #17: Another way to log information with the Receipt is to use one of up to four user definable fields. GOODSIN, TRAILOR, POD would be useful tags for a logistics operation associated with your business. If the warehouse is already used to using specific terms to describe certain activities or pieces of information, it makes sense to copy it into SWS.
  • #18: Back to the Receive process, and having set up a Status code and declined the prompt for a Receipt label , there is only the summary receipt list to pass over (you get a putaway summary too) the items are putaway.
  • #19: The summary of points is above
  • #20: The summary of points is above

  • #24: Issue has three options. Issue one , one product at a time from Stock but choose the items from the FIFO list OR take the products from Stock with no regard for order. Issue two, Use a designated ‘Issue from’ - Pick Location . Everything comes from this part of the warehouse and is topped up from the full pallets in reserve. Issue Three provides the opportunity of issuing lists of products in one order. The same as issue three but allows for more than one product at one time.
  • #29: The Issues summary:
