Lal Bahadur Shastri was an Indian politician who served as Prime Minister of India from 1964 to 1966. He devoted his life to serving the country with honor and principles. As Railway Minister, he resigned after a train accident killed 150 people to take responsibility. As Prime Minister, he addressed issues like food shortage and unemployment, and launched the Green Revolution program to boost agricultural production. He passed away in 1966 from a heart attack while serving as Prime Minister.
