Editing your Wiki
- 4. If you forget your password, Click the link to reset it – sends it to your email If you go to your own wikispace and can not edit the page even after signing in, you must “join” the wiki

Wikispaces has different permissions settings for your space Public : Anyone can view or edit your Wikispace Protected: Anyone can view your space but only members can edit Private: Only members can view or edit your space All teacher accounts are protected at the moment. - 6. You will need to upload pictures and documents into your space if you want to include them on your wiki. To upload files first open the editor, select the Insert Images and Files icon browse for the files you want then select upload. Inserts the files – use this when you need to see the file on the screen eg images, flash movies Links to the file – use this for simple word docs
- 7. Click the Edit This Page button at the top of your wiki. Write the text you would like on your page. You can format it with bold, underline, italics, headings, and more. Once you are done editing, click Save .
- 8. Click Edit This Page . Highlight the text you would like to link and click on the earth icon in the toolbar. Another window will appear allowing you to create a link to another page in your space or another website. Click Ok .

You can add pages to your wiki in a number of ways 2 step process – create a page then add a link to the page Create a new page Select New Page Enter a name for the page Create a link to the page Select Edit navigation Add a name for the link Use the Insert Link button to create the link Choose the page you want to link to 1 step process - add a link and create the page all at the same time Select Edit navigation Add a name for the link Use the Insert Link button to create the link The name of the page will be the same as the name of the link
- 10. Select the page you want to add the picture to Select edit this page This will open the Editor Position your cursor where you want the picture to be and select Insert Images and Files Choose the file you want from your uploaded files, or upload a file first, then select it
- 11. You can embed a variety of items onto your pages. One of these is video. Click on Edit This Page Click on the embed widget button Choose the type of media you would like to embed, such as YouTube or Google Calendar. For each application, there will be instructions for copying the HTML from that application's site and pasting it in the widget tool's box. Once you have embedded the widget to your page, "Save" your page.
