GhNOG was established in 2009 in Ghana to build capacity among network operators through technical workshops and annual meetings. It has held eight workshops covering different technical tracks in various regions of Ghana with the goal of reaching all ten regions. The most recent workshop was hosted by Tamale Polytechnics with over 50 participants. Upcoming events include ghNOG-9 in Accra adding two new tracks, and a workshop in Ho. Challenges include funding, logistics, and active participation in the mailing list.
