God Gave Us Salvation
God Gave Us Health
We Obey the Commandments
God Gives us the Blessings of Salvation
We Obey the Eight Natural Laws
We Get the Blessings of Health
The Objective of All Obedience is to
Take on the Nature of God
A Close Work
You have stumbled at the health reform. It
appears to you to be a needless appendix to
the truth. It is not so; it is a part of the
truth. Here is a work which will come closer
and be more trying than anything which has
yet been brought to bear upon you….You
are stumbling over the very blessing which
heaven has placed in your path to make
progress less difficult…in your spiritual and
physical health. 1T:456
Every Sin an Eternal Loss
• Repeated disregard for the ten
commandments increases the
probability we will eventually
experience the second death.
• Repeated disregard of the eight natural
laws increases the probability we will
suffer disability, disease, and death.
Every Broken Law an Eternal Loss
Every time one of the glorious faculties
with which God has enriched man is abused
or misused, that faculty loses forever a
portion of its vigor and will never be as it
was before the abuse it suffered. Every
abuse inflicted upon our moral nature in this
life is felt not only for time but for eternity.
Though God may forgive the sinner, yet
eternity will not make up that voluntary loss
sustained in this life. This Day With God:350
Eight Natural Laws
The laws governing the physical
nature are as truly divine in their
origin and character as the laws of
the ten commandments 16 MR:60
The the commandments are a wall of
protection from sin and death
The eight natural laws are a wall of
protection from sickness and death
Obedience Delays Death
• Christ in us protects
• Conversion partly restores what the locust
and the cankerworm have eaten. Joel 2:25
• Sin in us brings annihilation
• “He that being often reproved hardeneth his
neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that
without remedy.” Proverbs 29:1
Preparing a People
“When health reform was given to the
people of God, it was defined as that
which is to fit the people for translation.
If a man’s blood is impure and full of
gross material, will he be able to pass
through the time of trouble, when the air
is sick with pestilence? Indeed, he
cannot.” GCB 1893:88 A.T. Jones
