      Americans have a
      smartphone

  • 21 percent have a “large
      media tablet” (ie: iPad)

  • 13 percent use an e-reader

  • 7 percent use a “small media
tablet” (ie: Kindle Fire which is
      “sold out” according to
      Amazon)
Younger mobile audience

53 percent of people 18-24 own smart phones

Diverse mobile audience

Americans access news and information through
mobile/wireless devices

per week “keeping up with news”
iPad users spent 6.1 hours per week “keeping
up with news” while small tablet users averaged

• Computer traffic stays strong through the morning, peaks again at lunch time, and
