Please let us know you were here; fill out the Fellowship Pad (it‘s in the hymnal rack) with today‘s date, name, address, phone #, etc. FAITH BOOSTER SHOT – Join us in the Parlor for this round of adult classes, doubling as an Adult Confirmation Class. No matter how long you have been on the Christian journey, no matter how high or low your path has taken you, this class will certainly boost your faith and build your fellowship circle! You will read and hear things long forgotten or freshly learned. It's a "don't miss it" event, and the whole family will benefit! Join us in the Parlor beginning today at 9:30 or 10:30 am and every Sunday until November 22. OCTOBER 18 – 20 runners are needed for each home Packer game. We will need folks for the game against the Lions. Event sign up sheets are at the coffee bar. Workers must complete an online test; information can be found at the coffee bar. Questions? Call Neil Burmeister at 866-9088. OSLC members, non-members, friends, etc. are welcome. NURSERY NOW OPEN – Childrens, toddler thru age 3, are welcome to the nursery during the 9:15 am service. Take the elevator to ‗LL‘ and turn left. A state-of-the-art pager system will quietly alert you if your child needs you. If you have any questions, please check with one of the ushers. SUNDAY SCHOOL – Registration forms are available in the office hallway. Completed forms can be turned in when your child attends their first class. One form needed per family. YOU CAN STILL JOIN US AT FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY – This life-changing, 13-week program (Tuesdays at 6:30pm from Sept 15–Dec 8) teaches you how to make the right decisions with your money.   DUE TO UPCOMINGVACATION – The deadline for blurbs for the October 4 bulletin will be this week Tuesday, Sept 22 so that the bulletin can be printed before Michelle goes on vacation. Thanks in advance for getting that important information to me as soon as possible. The deadline for the November issue of The Voice will still be October 10 th. BE THE FIRST TO KNOW! – Join the Fellowship Express, a contact list of folks who will receive ‗express‘ emails about special events, fellowship activities, opportunities at OSLC, etc. email in a fast, efficient manner. To ‗join‘, email your name and email address to [email protected] and copy [email protected]. BROTHER, CAN YOU SPARE A PAIR? – Please help Brown County‘s needy with a donation of new socks. Other new undergarments also welcome. Please bring donations to the office hallway donation barrel by September 27. Thanks! The task ahead of us is never as great as the Power behind us. YOUTH NIGHT EVERY WEEK? WOW! – Youth in grades 6 through 12 are invited to use the Youth room from 3:30pm to 7:30pm every Wednesday night that there‘s confirmation class! (Confirmation class starts at 6pm.) A meal will be provided each evening at this event for a free will donation. Use the games, sit back and visit, do some homework...all in a safe, Christian environment. Some nights, the gym will also be available! Join us; feel free to bring a friend! EARN MONEY NOW FOR YOUTH ACTIVITIES – Youth in grades 7-12 have an opportunity to raise money for their Youth Accounts by waxing Konop trucks on Sept 19, 26 and Oct 3 from 8am-12pm. No supplies are needed. Please sign up on the Youth Board Bulletin Board so we know how many kids are coming and can plan how many trucks to get ready. Can't stay the whole time? No problem! ALTAR GUILD MEETING – Monday, Sept. 21st @ 6:30pm in the sacristy. We meet twice a year. Anyone interested in serving is warmly encouraged to attend. Well, we need your empty ones for the Booyah sale that will be held in conjunction with the Super Sale on October 3rd. Please bring all the 5 quart buckets you can directly to the kitchen as soon as possible. THANKS…and don‘t forget to come on the 3rd to buy some ‗lunch to go‘! TOP IT OFF – Need an oil change? Visit a Mobil 1 Lube Express location in Green Bay. Tell them you are a member of OSLC and receive a $5 discount…and OSLC will get a check for $3. Stop by the SCRIP desk for a location list. SUPER SALE…IT’S ALMOST HERE! – The Annual ‗Super Sale‘ will be on Saturday, October 3 from 8am-4pm. Donations will be accepted until Thursday, October 1 at noon. Items can now be taken directly to the gym. For large item pick up, please call Michelle THIS WEEK. This sale can only be a success with donations from folks like YOU! IT’S ADDING UP! – Please continue to place Coke Rewards Points in the Youth Board mailbox. Some items already ordered can be seen in the Youth Room. Thanks for helping with this effort. BOXES, BOXES, BOXES – The tall boxes in the office hallway are used to collect many things…non-perishable food and personal items for Manna for Life as well as underwear and socks for the ‗Undercover Challenge‘ in September. CUB SCOUTS – The Cub Scouts will hold their first meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 22 from 6:30 to 7:30 in Classroom #1. The cub scouts meet twice a month during the school year. All boys in grades 1-4 are invited to attend to get more information about the Cub Scout Program. COUNCIL MINUTES – The minutes from the August Council meeting can be picked up from the Welcome Center. PORTALS OF PRAYER – The Oct-Dec issue of the Portals of Prayer is now available in the Narthex. Need a large print version? Pick one up from the office. NEWLHS HAPPENINGS – September 25 brings the Lutheran Grade School Walk-a-thon and pep rally at school as well as the Lutheran Schools Golf Outing at The Woods which tees off at 12:30 pm. Check out www.LutheranGolf.com. Saturday brings the Ray‘s Run and Katie‘s Walk at 9:00 am, followed by the Alumni Soccer Game at 11am and the Homecoming game at 1:00 pm. MORE NEWLHS HAPPENINGS – Father-Son Bible Study, lead by head football coach, Dick Hasseler, will start a Bible study on Leadership on Friday, September 11 at NEWLHS at 7am. The Sunday, October 18th Celebration of Praise will begin at 6:30 pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church. An Internet Safety program will be held on Tuesday, October 27 at 7pm at NEWLHS for parents and students in grades 6-12. NEWLHS needs a Freshmen Boy’s Basketball Coach; please contact Mike Stock or Mark Meerstein. For $30, you can purchase the 2010 Entertainment Book from NEWLHS.
