3 Types of Order of Protections in Illinois
There is a law in Illinois known as a restraining
order, and sometimes it is also mentioned as an
order of protection. This order of protection is
specifically created in terms of domestic violence.
This order ostracizes a person who has allegedly
committed domestic violence. So, if there is
someone who is suffering from domestic violence,
they must be aware of different orders of
protections that are issued to help them.
Emergency order
Generally, this order is issued ex-parte. A judge
who has the authority to issue an emergency
order always issues one when he/she finds that
the person requesting for this particular order is
suffering from any severe problem. This thing will
not be informed to the suspected abuser. Before
the order is issued, the alleged victim must
provide entire description of the domestic
violence incident.
Three Types of Order of Protections
According to the strict instructions of the restraining
order, the accused and the victim are not allowed to
make any contact. Under the Illinois law, if there is
any violation found against the protection order, the
person may be jailed for up to 364 days.
If you are victimized or are accused of domestic
violence, then you must contact an experienced
domestic attorney in
Illinois(http://www.mooredigiovanni.com/criminal-
