1) Sita, a married woman with four children, feels suffocated by her mundane metropolitan life and seeks escape on Manori island where she expects life to offer its best. However, she realizes life must be faced despite its difficulties.
2) Sita encounters existential angst and doubts the meaning of bringing another child into the world. She rebels against her family and escapes to Manori island seeking a miracle.
3) On the island, Sita realizes escape is not the solution and accepts her responsibilities. She accompanies her family back to the city with a new mature perspective, having overcome her alienation.
