There has been a clear progression in our planning and time management and efficiency from our Preliminary task to the final Product, in that we had created a storyboard and a full script before we actually started filming for our final, which allowed us to be more organised and efficient, thus we could focus on filming and shot types that we would like to change (if any) rather than what the characters are going to say, where are they going to stand and what the character’s objective is. We were also able to inform our Actors of when they would be needed in advance, so that they could make plans and would not be unavailable at the last minute. We had also casted the characters carefully and when we needed to recast Jordan (the old Rufus Parker) intoTumaini, there was not a problem with time. Although we had lost the first shooting footage of Jordan, had to re-film the whole thing again and then had to recast “Rufus Parker”, time was still on my side as I started to film early and had more time to refine the final piece. However, in the case with my Preliminary task, the main character had to cancel on us twice because we had told him that we needed to film too last minute and he was not free. Plus, we had no teacher to be in the scene with the main character (all of this was done on a couple of days), when we asked a teacher if he would be in the film, he then agreed as he was free, so we managed to get lucky in the end. Editing was all(100%) left to me in the preliminary task and it was a very stressful thing to have had done all the filming, choreography and then having to do all the editing.
