A 44-year-old male patient presented with shortness of breath for 3 days and was found to have a blood pressure of 210/140 mmHg. His medical history included hypertension and chronic kidney disease requiring dialysis. Laboratory tests revealed pulmonary edema on a chest x-ray. He was diagnosed with acute pulmonary edema exacerbated by accelerated hypertension. Medications were prescribed to treat the pulmonary edema and lower his blood pressure.
