This document discusses a new mobile packet core network architecture utilizing the IP-in-IP protocol to overcome the limitations of the current 4G evolved packet core (EPC) architecture, which suffers from high tunneling overhead and suboptimal routing. The proposed architecture aims to simplify the mobile core while enhancing data delivery and handover processes, thereby reducing delays and improving cost-effectiveness. Numerical analyses indicate that this new structure provides superior performance compared to existing 4G networks.
