This paper presents a Hybrid Pareto Based Multi Objective Evolutionary Algorithm (HPBO) aimed at solving a Partial Flexible Open-shop Scheduling Problem (FOSP) to optimize makespan. The proposed algorithm incorporates Variable Neighbourhood Search (VNS) to enhance solution quality and avoid early convergence, and results are benchmarked against traditional techniques. Experimental outcomes demonstrate significant improvements in solution quality when utilizing the HPBO-VNS approach on various problem sizes.
