The paper presents a novel trust-based predictive model for mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) to enhance security and packet delivery through a combination of direct and indirect trust opinions. By utilizing real-time monitoring and probabilistic models, the proposed system categorizes nodes based on their trustworthiness and ensures reliable data transmission while addressing common network challenges. Simulation results indicate that this model significantly outperforms existing trust models, providing improved packet delivery ratios even in the presence of malicious nodes.
