Abhiram Sadhu BOSS
BOSS (Bharat Operating System Solutions) is a free and open source Linux distribution developed in India by the National Resource Centre for Free/Open Source Software. It is endorsed by the Government of India. BOSS is based on Debian and has had six major releases between 2007-2015. It is available as desktop, education, server, and notebooks versions. Key features include Indian language support, educational applications, device compatibility, and a cloud deployment platform called BOSS Meghdooth.

BOSS GNU/Linux is also known by the acronym BOSS. The latest version is 6.0. The software has also been endorsed by the Government of India for adoption and implementation on a national scale. It was developed at Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Chennai INDIA.
