Adding Social Icons To Outlook Signature

• #2: An advisor asked me yesterday how I added social media icons and my logo to my signature in Outlook.I have searched the web to find a tool that can do this easily but did not find one.So for those of you who want to take about 15 or 20 minutes to do it, here are step by step instructions.
• #3: Start by clicking on the Tools menu in and choosing the last menu item, which is Options
• #4: The Options dialog box will pop up. Click on the box for Signatures.
• #5: Any existing signatures will now appear on a list. If you have more than one company or would like separate signatures for personal and business use, this is where you can create multiple signatures.Notice also that on the right you can decide which of your signatures will be your default signature and whether your signature will be included only in new messages or in all replies as well as new messages. You can edit any signature, by clicking on it one time. If you want to add your logo to an existing signature, just click on the existing signature you want to edit.
• #6: For this example, let’s create a new signature we’ll call Sample. Just click on the box that says New and name the signature. Use a short name.
• #7: Type in your signature in exactly as you would like it to appear.While people often neglect to input their email address, that’s a mistake. Many of the people who receive your emails will copy and paste your signature in their Outlook contacts. So having all your contact information in your signature makes that much easier. You might want to include a Skype name or additional contact information.Now for the tricky part: inserting an icon for LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter or your company logo.
• #8: For this example, let’s work with a LinkedIn Icon.Simply go to Google and search for LinkedIn.Click on “images” on the left menu of Google so you see logos for Linked.Right click on the image you want to use in your signature and choose “Copy Image,” which places that image in your clipboard.
• #9: Paste the image into a photo editing program or into Microsoft Publish or PowerPoint.Now, click on the image and resize it down to about 25 pixels by 25 pixels, which is equivalent to .263 by .263 inches.While it’s going to look small, that’s okay.
• #10: Once it’s the right size, right click on the image and choose Save As.Remember the file name and the directory where you save the image.
• #11: Now go back into the Outlook signature you were setting up.Place your cursor on the line below your signature and click on the Picture icon in the signature dialog box.Browse to where you saved your Linkediniocon and insert it.We’re almost done.
• #12: All we have to do now is to add a link to your LinkedIn profile to the LinkedIn icon in your signature. To do that, go to your LinkedIn Profile and click on Profile in the top horizontal navigation bar. Scroll down to where it says Public Profile and copy that link into your clipboard.
• #13: Now go back into the signature set up dialog box and click on the icon to paste the link to your public profile.Click Save to save your new signature and then OK and you’re done.
