Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she

do many mighty works in your name?‘

And then will I declare to them, 'I never
knew you; depart from me, you workers
of lawlessness.'

Amos chapter 3 verses 1-6 shows God

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "An
adversary shall surround the land and bring
down your defenses from you, and your
strongholds shall be plundered."

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary
the devil prowls around like a roaring lion,
seeking someone to devour.

When sin is present, adversary comes
in.

Hear this word, you cows of Bashan, who are
on the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the
poor, who crush the needy, who say to your
husbands, 'Bring, that we may drink!'

The Pampered Ladies of Samaria speaks
proud and treats harsh.

The Lord GOD has sworn by His holiness
that, behold, the days are coming upon you,
when they shall take you away with hooks,
even the last of you with fishhooks.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned
with salt, so that you may know how you
ought to answer each person.

In Amos 4:6-11 we see five things God
allowed to happen to bring them to
repentance

–Famine - Am 4:6 “ lack of bread”
–Drought - Am 4:7-8 “no rain”
–Pestilence - Am 4:9 “locust”
–Plague and war - Am 4:10 “plague like
Egypt”
–Volcanic eruption - Am 4:11 “burning”

“Prepare to meet your God”

"Therefore thus I will do to you, O Israel;
because I will do this to you, prepare to meet
your God, O Israel!"

1 Hear this word that I take up over you in
lamentation, O house of Israel:
2 "Fallen, no more to rise, is the virgin
Israel; forsaken on her land, with none to
raise her up."

GOD LOVES ISRAEL ,

GOD WILL RESTORE ISRAEL

4 For thus says the LORD to the house of
Israel: "Seek me and live;
5 but do not seek Bethel, and do not enter
into Gilgal or cross over to Beersheba; for
Gilgal shall surely go into exile, and Bethel

16 Now while Paul was waiting for

People today are seeking power, wealth, fame
and many other things but they are NOT
SEEKING GOD.

Seeing Jesus in the
lives of People

3 He was despised and rejected by men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with
grief; and as one from whom men hide
their faces He was despised, and we
esteemed Him not.

4 Surely He has borne our griefs and
carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed
Him stricken, smitten by God, and
afflicted.
