This paper presents an improved LEACH-C algorithm for enhancing energy efficiency in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) by employing a multi-objective approach for cluster head selection to achieve better load balancing and energy distribution. The proposed algorithm is compared with traditional methods such as random LEACH and max energy LEACH, demonstrating superior network lifespan and energy conservation. Simulation results indicate that the balanced LEACH-C algorithm significantly outperforms random LEACH and shows improved performance over the standard LEACH-C protocol.
