Howard explains the event in which a new test has been given out to students. The new standardized test are now much tougher and focus more on the standards. Schools have benefited from these standardized test but other schools need more improvement. According to Ramon C. Cortines, "However, this is not the time to be pleased or disappointed with the results, as these assessments provide a roadmap for how we can better prepare students." If thee don't eat it, they get a second marshmallow, two out of three children ate the marshmallow, while the others resisted temptation. The experiment was used to predict the future success for the children, the children who resisted eating the marshmallow, were successful in school, the others had with low grades, poor communication skills, and more than likely not going to college/university.
