This study analyzes the application of a Static Var Compensator (SVC) on an IEEE 6 bus system to optimize voltage stability, focusing on the issues of voltage collapse in power systems. The SVC was found to effectively enhance voltage stability at the weakest bus under maximum load conditions, demonstrating that reactive power injection can mitigate potential failures. The results indicate that optimal voltage stability is achieved with 25 MVAR compensation, resulting in a voltage magnitude increase from -0.743 pu to 0.843 pu.
