- 30. PERSPECTIVE Worldwide, less than 24 people in every 100 use the internet Can you imagine living without it? The internet was invented in 1989 In the West, people aged 30 and under are the first generation to grow up with the internet being “normal”, and everywhere. A lot of stuff, like medical records etc, isn’t yet digital

BLOGGING Blogger was launched in 1999 - bought by Google in 2003 Blogging was a new medium, services like this made it possible for non-techies to “blog” Concept of sharing your day to day life was new Great way to communicate with customers, too - now many important announcements are made on the company blog.
