This study investigates the association between first trimester uterine artery Doppler velocimetry and intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) in 1067 women. Results show that women with a mean resistance index (RI) above the 75th percentile are 5.5 times more likely to experience IUGR, while no significant relationship was found between diastolic notching and IUGR. The findings suggest that early evaluation of uterine artery RI could be beneficial in predicting adverse pregnancy outcomes.
