- 1. AS Photography SummerProject Before you begin your AS Photography course you must ensure that you complete the tasks below to a high standard. All the work should be completed and mounted in your sketchbook for your first AS Photography class, please bring this to enrolment too. It is also recommended that you buy a 4GB SD card as you will use college cameras throughout lessons and for homework in the year and you will need your own SD card to do this. Also your own glue stick will be necessary. Task Done? Buy yourself a sketchbook either from the Art shop here at college or WH Smith. Self Portrait Project Take 6-10 final photographs of things that mean something to you, as well as a self-portrait. These should be printed and mounted in your sketchbook with reflection explaining why you’ve taken them, and any lighting and compositional techniques that you have used. Research one of the following historical photographers: Ansel Adams Rineke Djikstra Diane Arbus Raghu Rai Lewis Baltz Francesca Wood Berenice Abbott Eugene Atget Fay Godwin Margaret Bourke-White Richard Avedon You must analyse 4 images of the photographers work.
