This document outlines a problem statement and objectives for developing an automated system for real-time street light fault detection, location tracking, and maintenance. The system aims to enhance urban lighting infrastructure using IoT technology to detect faults, pinpoint locations, and streamline maintenance workflows. This will increase operational efficiency by quickly identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and reduce maintenance costs through targeted repairs based on real-time data. A proposed solution involves designing and testing a smart street light system that can install sensors to detect and diagnose faults, then deploy a pilot program to monitor performance, collect data for optimization, and establish maintenance procedures.
