The document presents a study on an automatic COVID-19 lung image classification system using a convolutional neural network (CNN) that categorizes chest x-ray images into four categories: healthy, typical viral pneumonia, bacterial pneumonia, and COVID-19. The model achieved high performance metrics including an overall accuracy of 0.98, sensitivity of 0.97, and specificity of 0.98, demonstrating its reliability for rapid diagnosis. This approach aims to facilitate quicker screening and diagnosis of COVID-19 compared to conventional methods.
