UEC169C is a 3 credit course divided into 4 units covering basic electronics concepts. Unit 1 covers diode applications, transistors and transistor characteristics. Unit 2 discusses transistor biasing, amplifiers and oscillators. Unit 3 introduces number systems, binary operations, and digital logic gates. Unit 4 gives an overview of communication systems, modulation techniques, instrumentation systems, and sensors. The course aims to enable students to analyze and design diode and transistor circuits, understand transistor biasing and oscillators, perform number conversions and implement logic circuits, and comprehend communication systems and modulation needs.
