One of them is a flight data recorder and the other is a cockpit voice recorder With four microphone : 1) Pilot's headset 2) Co-pilot's headset 3) Headset of a third crew member 4) Near the centre of the cockpit, where it can pick up audio alerts and other sound • The flight data recorder records everything that happens on the plane from an operational standpoint, collecting data from sensors that are wired throughout the plane • A flight recorder (or aircraft's black box) is an electronic recording device placed in an aircraft for the purpose of facilitating the investigation of aviation accidents and incidents.
