- 4. BLOCKCHAIN = DISTRIBUTED LEDGER At a very high level, the block chain is a decentralized ledger, or list, of all transactions across a peer-to-peer network. AJINKYA PANDE
- 5. THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF BLOCKCHAINS Public blockchains : Ledgers can be ‘public’ in two senses 1. Anyone, without permission granted by another authority, can write data. 2. Anyone, without permission granted by another authority, can read data usually, when people talk about public blockchains, they mean anyone-can-write. Private blockchains : It is network where the participants are known and trusted: for example, an industry group, or a group of companies owned by an umbrella company AJINKYA PANDE

- 8. SMART CONTRACTS It is a piece of software that stores rules for negotiating the terms of a contract, automatically verifies the contract and then executes the agreed terms. Smart contracts can be stored on the blockchain. For e.g. Insurance company AJINKYA PANDE
