Denmark invests several tens of millions of euros annually in Big Science: CERN, ESA, ESO, ESS, ESRF, European XFEL, ITER, etc. 
These investments ensure that Danish researchers can use the facilities, but…

European Big Science facilities purchases goods and services from industry for 8 billion € each year (world market app. 40 billion).

BSS members have sent bids to CERN, ESO, ESS, MAX-IV, ESRF, F4E / ITER. The individual bids have been from a few thousand DKK to many million DKK.
Support to European contractors and Big Science facilities 
BSS supports the establishment of consortia by matching relevant Danish and European companies as well as research institutions towards specific tenders. 
European (prime) contractors and Big Science organizations are actively encouraged to contact BSS to find Danish suppliers and sub-suppliers. 
BSS participates in business events related to Big Science (ITER Business Forum, ESO Industry Days…)
