The study examines the impact of trade associations on fostering entrepreneurial traits within Nigeria's road transport industry, revealing that the anti-competitive roles of these associations significantly outpace their pro-competitive contributions. Data collected from 1,377 respondents showed a strong statistical significance in the findings, pointing to a more detrimental effect on entrepreneurial development. This research highlights a gap in previous studies, emphasizing the need to explore the role of trade associations in promoting entrepreneurship in this sector.
