Research Agenda
Books – Articles – Lectures -
        Workshops

                            11
I lecture and conduct seminars
and workshops on a variety of
topics. I am the author of more
than 600 articles in professional
journals and several books. I am
in the process of revising the
fourth edition of my book titled:
SCHOOL DISCIPLINE: The Art of
Survival (1986, 1993, 2000). 12
In 1996, I wrote Philosophies of
Education. In the book, I include
a Philosophical Inventory where
students identify their
philosophy of leadership. I will
be revising this book under the
new title: Philosophy of
Leadership.
                                13
I am the author of the textbook
William Kritsonis, PhD on
Schooling (2002). This book is being
revised with Dr. Cheng-Chieh Lai,
assistant professor at Hsiuping
Institute of Technology in China. Dr.
Lai plans to recommend the book to
be the national textbook for China.
The book covers key concepts of
American schools in the 21stcentury.14
In 2006, I coauthored two articles
in the Two-Volume Set of the
Encyclopedia of Educational
Leadership and Administration
published by SAGE Publications,
Thousand Oaks, California.
                                15
In 2007, I completed the book,
Ways of Knowing Through the
Realms of Meaning (858 pages).

                             16
The book is the product of a
collaborative twenty-four year
effort started in 1978 with the
late Dr. Philip H. Phenix, former
dean of the College of Education
at Teachers College, Columbia
University, New York. I am in the
process of revising this book.
                                17
In 2009, I coauthored the textbook:
A Statistical Journey: Taming of the
Skew. I am in the process of revising
the second edition, along with the
Instructor’s Manual and CD’s.

                                    18
In 2009, I coauthored the book
Effective Teaching in the
Elementary School. The book is
packed with practical solutions to
typical classroom problems. I plan to
revise this book in the near future.

                                    19
In 2011, Practical Applications of
Educational Research and Basic
Statistics was published. The text
provides practical knowledge in
educational research for graduate
students at the doctoral and master’s
level. I am currently revising the
book and expect to complete it by
2013.
                                   20
I am a National Reviewer for the
Journal of Research on
Leadership, University Council
for Educational Administration
(UCEA). I plan to continue in this
capacity.
                                 21
I continue to provide seminars
and workshops on Writing for
Professional Publication. These
have been popular with both
professors and practitioners.
Persons in attendance generate
an article to be published in a
refereed journal at the national
or international levels. 22

10. Attend local community events.
Words of Encouragement
ā€œLet no youth have any anxiety about the upshot
(conclusion) of his education, whatever the line of it
may be. If he keeps faithfully busy each hour of the
working day, he may safely leave the final result to
itself. He can, with perfect certainty, count on
waking up some fine morning to find himself one of
the competent ones of his generation, in whatever
pursuit he may have singled out.ā€
                                     William James
                                      (1842-1910)
                                                    27
I will continue to be dedicated to
teaching, research, service, and
providing Leadership through
Learning.

        THANK YOU
