Campus radio is operated by the Mass Communication Department under an educational license to represent the student community. It is seen by some as just a toy or lab for students, but it can speak to many and has no boundaries. Campus radio should focus on educational content according to PEMRA but can add local perspective to national and international news. Stories can be made more engaging by manipulating the structure, such as changing the climax, or adding audio clips and on-location reporting. The key is bringing local relevance and perspective to stories through formats like cues, clips and packages.
