- 4. Task Group on Preservation of and Open Access to Scientific and Technical Data in/for/with Developing Countries (PASTD) , was approved by the CODATA 23rd General Assembly in Montréal 2002. The objectives ： (1) Promote strategy, policy and institutional guidelines for implementation of open data principles in developing countries, especially in low and middle income countries (LMIC). (2) Provide an interdisciplinary forum for enhancing capacity building and sharing best practice in developing countries; (3) Advance data publishing in developing countries; (4) Enhance data re-use and repositories in support of sustainable development;
- 5. CODATA-PASTD Sub-group 1: Strategy and Policy, Sub-group 2: Capacity Building, Sub- Group 3: Data Publishing and sharing, and Sub-group 4: CODATA-WDS Joint Sub-group. Over the past decade, the CODATA PASTD Task Group has focused on promoting and enhancing the worldwide cooperation in ICTs and research data and in developing open knowledge environments for international science and sustainability in developing countries. Several international workshops and training sessions toward these goals have been held in many areas of the developing world, including in Brazil, South Africa, China, Mongolia, Cuba and Kenya, and attracted participants from different fields. Knowledge Management Leadership Award 2016 : Daisy Selematsela by the World Education Congress & Global Knowledge Management Congress in Mumbai (INDIA) on the 23 June 2016. She was one of the eight global recipients.

Data sharing principles • Nairobi Guidelines (August, 2014) Nairobi Guideline for Implementation of Open Data Principle in Developing Countries, white paper, will continue to focus on Open Data in A Big Data World. 1) Data should be open and unrestricted； 2) Data should be free to the end users； 3) Data should be informative and assessed for quality； 4) Data sharing should be timely； 5) Data should be easy to find and access； 6) Data should be interoperable, when necessary； 7) Data should be sustainable； 8) Data contributors should be given credit； 9) Data access should be equitable； 10) Data may be restricted for a limited time, if adequately justified

- 12. Data Access for Open Science 12 • FAIR data principles - all research data should be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable (FAIR). - 17. Conclusion A. Capacity building and full-open-free sharing in developing countries are crucial for innovative development and reaching SDGs. B. Peer Review Data Publishing is the most advantage way to encourage scientists to be evolved in full and open research data. C. Networking local datasets into the global systems will benefit both scientists and society. D. The CODATA PASTD will pay more attention to the infrastructure and capacity building on data publishing and sharing in developing countries in the following years.
