through drama/Nukkad
Natak(Street Play)

(at state & Center) to form
a better policy.
2. Supervision &
implementation of policy
through Civil Servants at
the district level.
3. Revision & improvisation of
policy on annual / biannual
intervals
 Corruption
1. A Problem that has been
into the roots on the Indian
Administration. It is very
important to curb
corruption so that all the
proposed solution can be
smoothly implemented.
2. Teaching and making school
going children practice
about ethics and integrity
so that they not only be
corrupt-free but also help
removing corruption from
its ground roots.
 Problems at School Level
1. Faulty Administration: Principal and higher authorities fail to use the funds / misuse them for their own
profit. The best way to solve this to hire people with good background at school level administrator.
Example: Ex – Defence personnel, retired government officials or School teachers/principles.
2. Infrastructure: The government has funds allocated for each of its schools. The only part is the proper
utilisation of funds, and using it for purchasing & building all necessities for the school.
3. Paper Work for Teachers: Teachers of the government school are allotted lots of paper work due to
which they are not able to devote in teaching. The simple solution for this could be openings in the
school as interns, which could be even college students in the locality.
4. Lack of Well Trained Teachers: The recruitment of the teachers needs to be reformed as not only looking
for the minimum qualification, but stress should be given on the ‘teaching’ capability of the individual.
5. Modifying promotion system in current government schools to include only experienced teachers to
have higher posts.
6. No Committee at schools: Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE Act) mandated the
formation of School Management Committees (SMC) in every government-funded schools. But still there
are numerous schools which don’t follow the same. Identification of those schools through NGO &
government survey and forming SMCs as soon as possible in the benefit of the schools.
 Social Evils
1. The Indian Caste System – At grass root level, people still practice the caste
system, the small children are the worst victim. A non – caste practice made at
school level. Anybody (including) teachers practicing should be severely
punished.
2. Gender Inequality: The mind-set of the people in rural India are of the opinion
that girls should not be send to school. The reason being that one day they have
to get married and look after the family.
In contrast to this, there are also who want to send their daughters to school, but
the lack of sanitation in school are not present.
Awareness about the girl education in indeed needed. Educating a girl is making
one’s entire family in better hands.
Indra Nooyi, Sunita Williams & Kalpana Chawla won’t have been able to achieve
success if their parents did not send them to school
 The government of India has enough funds which is allocated through RTE in each
5 year plan. But the soul problem is with the administration that the school
authorities are not utilising this resources at all.
 Other sources of funding would be either through fund raising from CSR of
companies or NGO support.
 Example – Azim Premji Foundation has collaborated with state board of education
in Rajasthan, Uttrakhand, Karnataka, Chattisgarh focusing on pre-school and upto
class 12.
 Education will inculcate the awareness in individual and hence helping in
the growth & development of the nation.
 Awareness in society will improve literacy rate of the nation.
 Parents become active member of SMCs and will participation and
discussion on the use of school funds.
 It is very difficult to remove the ‘Caste System’ or ‘Gender Discrimination’
from the society. But education will ignite a thinking in the children not to
practice it. And with coming generations will can try eradicate it too.
 After removed / curbing corruption at its roots, we will have a corrupt –
free nation. This indeed will help to build nation stronger.
 Poverty - literacy rates decline with poverty and rise with per capita
incomes. It is clear that until and uncles government and other
organizations come forward in training and employing poor people, it will
be difficult to remove poverty.
 Social evils and illogical thinking: Convincing the parents and elder
members of the society in Rural India about encouraging education of girls
and practice of caste is a major challenge. [Even today 70% of people live
in Rural India].
 Political Problem: An uneducated person can be easily influenced to make
him in favour of one political party/candidate. And hence this practice
leads to poor government formation.
 Funding: If any third party wants to enter to improve the education system
of the country, the major factor which is faced is fund allocation.
