   In Summer 2007 Mattel did a worldwide recall and
    with the help of The Playground Community,
    mothers were able to give feedback on the toy
    recall and thank Mattel for giving them a heads up.
   Blogging initially defined what social media and
    Web 2.0 buzz was all about , and blogs are even
    more relevant today.

   Blog names: Blogspot, Typepad, Squarespace.
    These are already popular on the web.

   Authenticity is KEY
   For example, Scott Monty, who Mac mentioned
    earlier, is in charge of social media for Ford Motor
    Company educates Ford Fans about what is
    happening with various campaigns and how to
    push the brand forward.
   This all cost Ford $0 because Monty used different
    platforms like Youtube and Flickr to get the word
    out about the new Ford vehicle the Fiesta.

   There are no clear-cut guidelines as to how and
    when your supposed to post blogs but having a
    consistence blog schedule .
   Keep the blog fresh
   Also, a post doesn’t need to be long to be good, it
    just needs to have useful information.
   To have a people coming back to your blog you
    can embed videos, audio, photos, or other content
    to keep your readers interested.

    60% fewer visitors than Facebook by October
    2009
   It now caters to music-oriented audience offering
    free song streaming on its member pages.
   Flickr
   The most popular photo sharing sites on the web.
   The Yahoo owned site claimed to host more than
    3.6 Billion images.
   Its also known for its active online community of
    users.
   All in all Flickr is a great place to host photos for
    all your products, events, or company pictures.
  Ning
   Ning.com 1st launched October 2005 lets you
    start your own social network and communicate
    with those who are most passionate about your
    product or ideas.

   On Ning.com you can post videos and photos and
    comment on another person’s wall just as you
    would on Facebook or Myspace.
   For most organizations online video production
    should be a component of your marketing plan.
   We’re now living in a generation if you cant see it
    on the web it just didn’t happen. So no
    organizations are now taking video blogging more
    seriously .
   Since video recording can be practically done off
    of your phone its not a question on whether not it
    should be used as a marketing tool but how it can
    be a marketing tool.
   Audio available in digital download most likely
    through iTunes but also in the form of direct
    downloads.

   It’s a way of connecting directly to your customers,
    peers, and your employees
