- 7. STEP 1: Assessment Assessing the situation and the needs of the community. To assess a situation you need to do research, gather data on your community and analyze what you find. Coalition Needs Assessment revised annually
- 8. STEP 2: Capacity Building capacity means to mobilize people in your community or geographic location to address what you discovered through assessing the needs in step one.
- 9. STEP 3: Planning Use the people that you brought together through capacity building to develop a plan based on the assessment from step one.
- 10. STEP 4:Implementation Implement the plan. Carry out what you will be doing.
- 11. STEP 5:Evaluation Evaluate your plan by collecting data to see if there has been any change from when you collected data for your assessment in step one.
