- 10. Recommendation • If you are looking for the best database to use, Oracle has the most features and supported programming languages. However, it is extremely pricy as it is a subscription service. • MySQL is a good alternative to Oracle if you aren’t willing to pay the premium price for the best features. Since it is open source, it is free to download and modify off the internet. However, MySQL also has different priced plans which are cheaper than Oracle. • Microsoft Access is a good choice for those who aren’t as experienced with database systems and can be linked to other databases. It’s extremely user friendly and is an affordable option.
