 Worry Free Life (Just Chill up??)
 Driving Luxury Car?
 Eating and Sleeping?
 No Work – Just have fun?
 Living in a Bungalow?
 Servants to look after?
 Abundance in everything?
 Properties and Money from Parents?
Combat – Meaning
 A Fight (Especially in a war)
 Competition (Not an easy go)
 Struggle
 Oppose
 Resist
 Attack
 Withstand
 2 Tim 4:7 – I have Fought the good FIGHT…
 1 Tim 6:12 – FIGHT the good FIGHT of Faith…
 Eph 6:12 – We do not FIGHT against… but
against spiritual forces
 Phil 2:25 – Fellow Soldiers in Christ…
 1 Tim 1:1-7 - Faithful Soldiers of Christ…
 2 Tim 2:3 – Good Soldiers of Christ…
 Comfortable Lifestyle often make people
lazy and leads them to defeat.
 Adolf Hitlar lost his battle as he slept one full
night (Insomnia) – The commander was not
able to execute the order without his
approval – neither dare to wake him up!
 Samson slept comfortably – Lost the strength
(Judges 16:19-20)
 David stayed comfortably while there was
war – Fallen into sin (2 Sam 11)
 14 “For it is just like a man about to go on a journey, who
called his servants and entrusted his possessions to them.
15 To one he gave five talents, to another, two, and to another,
one, each according to his own ability; and he went on his
journey. 16 Immediately the one who had received the five
talents went and traded with them, and gained five more
talents. 17 In the same manner the one who had received the
two talents gained two more. 18 But he who received the one
talent went away, and dug a hole in the ground and hid his
master’s money.
 19 “Now after a long time the master came and settled
accounts with them. 20 The one who had received the five
talents came up and brought five more talents, saying,
‘Master, you entrusted five talents to me. See, I have gained
five more talents.’ 21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good
and faithful servant. You were faithful with a little things, I
will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of
your master.’
 22 “Also the one who had received the two talents came up
and said, ‘Master, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I
have gained two more talents.’ 23 His master said to him,
‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You were faithful
with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things;
enter into the joy of your master.’
 24 “And the one also who had received the one talent
came up and said, ‘Master, I knew you to be a hard man,
reaping where you did not sow and gathering where you
scattered no seed. 25 And I was afraid, and went away and
hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is
yours.’
 26 “But his master answered and said to him, ‘You wicked,
lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I did not sow and
gather where I scattered no seed. 27 Then you ought to
have put my money in the bank, and on my arrival I would
have received my money back with interest. 28 Therefore
take away the talent from him, and give it to the one who
has the ten talents.
 The Master did not say anything what to do!
 The Master did not demand anything!
 The Master did not say when will he come back!
 The Master did not say where he was going?
 The Master did not say anything about being
accountable to the talents!
ALL WE KNOW IS THE MASTER GAVE HIS WEALTH
TO THE SERVANTS ACCORDING TO THEIR
ABILITIES!
 MASTER
 Two servants who were on Combat Zone! –
“Well done! Good and Faithful servant”
 One Servant in Comfort Zone! - ‘You
wicked, lazy servant,
“People in Comfort Zone do what they are
asked to do BUT People in Combat Zone do
what they are called to do.”
 People who know their call and purposes in Life.
 People who react/do something about their call.
 People who work beyond their abilities. “Go the
second mile” – Matthew 5:41 (Jesus’ Style)
 What you got is not important (it can be 2 or 5) –
Why you got is important! – David was asked to
deliver food to his brothers (1 Sam 17:17) but he
was called to kill a giant and become a King!
“People in Comfort Zone wants to return
what they received BUT People in Combat
Zone wants to be accountable for what
they received.”
RETURN VS ACCOUNTABLE
v.19 - “Now after a long time the master came
and asked for accounts” – He did not ask to
return what he gave rather asked for accounts!
“People in comfort Zone work for what they are
Paid for BUT People in combat zone work for what
they are Made for.”
Mat 25: 25 – “I was afraid (of you) and went out and
hid your treasure in the ground. See, here is what
belongs to you.”
 Capable doing Vs Actually doing (Dynamic Tension)
 People who take ownership of what is given (at First
your Life, Time & Treasure)
 People who are passionate about their call (God
doesn’t take something away even if you are not
doing it right) – Saul (1 Sam 15)
 Don’t diminish yourself and be satisfied of what
you have right now! - Prodigal Son –
 Moses (Exodus 2:21) doesn’t want to leave
tending the sheep.
 Elijah – doesn’t want to leave the river for 3
years because he got food in right time.
 The storms in your life makes you to move to
the combat zone!
 Let’s do what we are called to do!
 Let us be accountable for what we
received!
 Let us work for what we are Made for!
 Stop Settling in “Fine” – Fine is not Perfect
LET US PUSH FORWARD IN 2021 – NOT BE
COMPLACENT OF WHAT WE HAVE… BE IN
COMBAT ZONE!
