INTRODUCTION
 Computer assisted learning (CAL) is the teaching method where a computer or an
application is used to assist the student in learning a particular subject.
 CAL can be used in virtually all fields of education, ranging from TV/DVD play-
learn program for kids to teaching surgery techniques in medical colleges.
 Now a days classical education methods are rapidly being replaced with virtual
education and distance learning programs.

 Computer assisted learning or computer aided learning is defined as learning
through computers with subjects wise learning package/ materials.

DISADVANTAGES OF CAL
 It is very expensive.
 Require skills to operate.
 Electricity and internet connectivity is required.
 Teacher student bond is lost.
 Health hazards.
 Become addicted.
 Poorly designed instructional software can reduce the interest.

CONCLUSION
 Computer assisted learning is also known as computer assisted instruction by
playing and using materials stored on DVD, mobile phones, other web resources,
learning becomes more attractive and dynamic and offers the student entertaining
in their listening and learning.
