Rules for Computer Lab Mrs. Glenboski MCPS – St. Bede Campus Fall 2008
Our time is very limited so… We need to have rules. I have a lot of fun activities planned and we want to make sure we have enough time to finish them.
Rule One Be nice to the Computers! Clean hands Don’t hit or bang on them Be gentle with all equipment Print with permission ONLY Click PRINT once Leave your area neat, clean, and organized
Rule Two Do NOT spin in your chair! Sit up straight and tall, facing your monitor.
Rule Three Stay on approved websites No email No chatting NEVER give out personal information Don't share passwords with others Be Cyber Smart
Rule Four Be Nice to Others Help others with your mouth not your mouse Keep your hands on your computer only Open only your work Make only positive comments about other’s work
Rule Five Learn and have fun!
Expectations How we’re going to “bee”: Safe Responsible Respectful
When you come in the Lab Go directly to the carpet in front of my desk. Pay close attention to instructions so we don’t waste any time. When it’s time to move to the computers, go to the one that is assigned to you. Sit quietly and be ready to get started.
If you have a question or a problem Flip the chart on the top of your monitor to yellow if you need help but can keep working or red if you need help right away. Wait patiently and try to use your problem solving skills to figure out the problem.
At the end of class When you hear the bell – stop, look, & listen Save Work/Exit Programs Straighten Keyboard, Mouse, & headphones Gather all materials and trash Push in your chair and stand quietly behind it until dismissed.
Ready, Set, Go! It’s going to be a GREAT year in the Computer Lab! Let’s get started!
