STAFF TRAINING
INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOPS
From October 21 to 25, 2023, a group of
five teachers from our school took part in
a training in the implementation of new
activating methods in informal education.
The training in Rhodes took place
as part of the school's project
entitled: "Happy Science". The
training was organized by the
"New Horizons" Center together
with trainer Marilena Ciontescu.
A group of teachers from Poland
and Romania took part in the
workshops. The many activities of
teachers included, above all, the
exchange of experiences and
sharing solutions implemented
during field and classroom
activities.
INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOPS
EDUCATION
NON-FORMAL INFORMAL
organized education outside the
compulsory education system that
is short-term, voluntary and has
few prerequisites, e.g. private drum
lessons
a lifelong process of shaping attitudes,
values, skills and knowledge based on various
experiences and the influence of the
educational environment (family, friends,
work environment, play, market) and the
influence of the media

CREATIVITY COMMUNICATION COOPERATION
By the term "creativity" we
can understand both the
transformation in an
original way of what
already exists and the
creation of something
completely new.
Learning to communicate
develops leadership
competencies and other
skills such as conflict
management, team
management and
collaborative decision-
making.
If there is no cooperation,
there is often competition
or individualism, which is
not as effective in dealing
with difficult situations that
require non-routine
solutions.
We allow our students to
analyze the data and draw
their own conclusions. We
discuss and present
various arguments, from
which we then choose
those that best solve our
problem.

ELEVETOR PITCH (SPEECH)
The elevator is only a metaphor, as it is unlikely that
you would have to present your project there. However,
it is possible that sometimes you will have just as little
time for this presentation. Elevator pitch (or elevator
speech) is nothing else than an "elevator speech" - a
term created in the United States, defining a short,
usually several dozen seconds long, presentation of a
person, company, project, service or product. Above all,
it must be concise and convincing.
BREVITY
CREDIBILITY
BRIGHTNESS
MATERIALITY
Convince others of your idea in 30 seconds.
STAR
BURSTING
When brainstorming, we start by placing
the idea or problem in the center of a six-
pointed star. Behind every arm of a star
there are questions: who, what, when,
where, why and how. It can also be used
during a revision lesson or a summary of a
problem lesson.
COFFEE TABLE
During a session using the Coffee Table method,
students analyze a specific topic in many aspects,
working simultaneously in small groups. The
teacher breaks down the lesson topic into several
issues and develops a set of key questions for each
of them that help sustain and direct the discussion.
Each issue is analyzed at a different table.
Students, divided into teams of several people,
move between tables to discuss all aspects of the
topic. There are moderators at the tables who
direct the conversation and note down the ideas
submitted. Each subsequent band that appears at
the table learns about the effects of the work of its
predecessors and builds on the material they
generated. Once the set of issues has been
analyzed by all working groups, the discussion is
summarized: moderators present all the materials
developed at the tables to the forum.
GAMIFICATION
Therefore, the use of various types of games (computer games, board games, group
games) in the educational process and methods that are not games but are based
on mechanisms that cause high involvement in games are becoming more and
more popular. These are so-called gamification methods.
