COVID19-Checklist PPE technique steps by Dr Narayan

• 1.
  Donning Steps: - 1.Meal intake 2. Washroom 3. Water drinking 4. Removal of all accessories, Mobile 5. Change into washable hospital scrub & foot ware 6. Hand wash with soap & water 7. Hand Hygiene, Sanitiser 8. Wear 1st pair of gloves 9. Coverall -examine for tear & wearing 10. Leg sleeves – Arm sleeves -Jeep up – Jeep cover flap 11. Shoe covers – Legies inside shoe cover 12. Mask -hold like cup in your hand, both strings hanging down 13. Place the mask on your face by left hand 14. Pull & place lower string below ear behind the head, upper string above head 15. Set the margins of mask linkage proof 16. Hood covering head & cheeks 17. Face shield Eye goggles -make it fit by tightening/loosening the screw at back 18. Wear 2nd pair gloves -pull & cover the sleeve cuff 19. Proceed to Covid Area Doffing Steps: - 1. 2 chairs -Dirty & Clean 2. Check any Leak/Soiling in PPE -Disinfect the affected area 3. 3 wins (RED); ➢ Small win -Gloves, Mask ➢ Medium win -Helmet, Face shield ➢ Large win -Coverall 4. Hand sanitization after every step 5. Call observer with Doffing details 6. Observer dressed in -Head Cover/Mask/Coverall/Gloves/Shoe Cover 7. Call observer for check of leak/soiling on PPE 8. Take a turn keeping hands up/leg apart 9. Swab the jeep of coverall 10. Disinfect gloves with alcoholic hand rub 11. Remove the shoe cover by slowly pushing the outer surface up->Down 12. Keep legs apart 13. Discard shoe cover in Small Red win 14. Disinfect outer-glove 15. Remove outer glove -Do not contaminate inner glove 16. Pinch the upper part of 1st glove -take inside out 17. Hold 1st glove in 2nd hand 18. Pinch the upper part of 2nd glove -take inside out sealing 1st glove inside the 2nd 19. Discard the gloves in Small Win

  20. Disinfect inner-glove-6 steps 21. Remove Face Shield/eye goggles 22. Loosen the screw-Remove by holing it by back handle 23. Discard the face shield in Medium Win 24. Disinfect inner-glove -6 steps 25. Remove Hood & Coverall 26. Slide back the top by holding with finger of R/Hand 27. Extract the jeep flap & un jeep the cover 28. Holding the shoulders with fingers both sides slide it down slightly 29. Pull the side down by side of the waist 30. Roll the arms out one by one 31. Roll out legs one by one carefully 32. Roll the whole coverall, care for not touching it’s outer surface 33. Discard the Coverall in Large Win 34. Remove inner gloves as described earlier 35. Discard the inner gloves in Small Win 36. Hand sanitization -6 steps 37. Wear new (3rd ) pair of gloves before removing mask 38. Do not touch the exposed(outer) surface of the mask 39. Stoop forward & 1st remove the lower strip of the mask 40. The carefully remove the mask by pulling the upper strip 41. Discard the mask in Large win 42. Hand sanitization -6 steps 43. Sit on clean chair 44. Clean shoe by Alcohol swab -Small win 45. Disinfect by Hand sanitization -6 steps 46. Remove the last pair(3rd ) of the gloves 47. Disinfect by Hand sanitization -6 steps 48. Wipe shoe on a Sod-Hypochlorite towel -Out of doffing area
