Description:
This is a non-accredited flexible learning training for participants who would like to acquire new knowledge,
skills and self-enrichment. This crash course is designed to equip Papua New Guineans with digital literacies
for life. A wide variety of ecommerce skills are demonstrated to empower absolute beginners with the basics
to execute their passion and creative ideas in business. Content here is curated to match PNG business
contexts. Participants will find government forms, banking methods, culturally contextualized resources and
personal testimonies from Papua New Guinean ecommerce entrepreneurs to support their learning.
Importantly, copyright laws and creative commons are covered to guide participants in product customization.
In addition, netiquette is emphasized to help participants conduct professional customer service online.
For a very long time startup capital was the main factor that hindered Papua New Guineans from establishing
their own businesses. Thanks to innovations in technology today it is possible for anyone to operate a business
without startup capital, physical stock, warehouse, staff to manage inventory or a brick-and-mortar shop. This
course is based on the drop-shipping business model. Participants are guided through a step-by-step process
from start to finish.
Intended learning:
I. Develop digital literacy skills for life
