ULTRASOUND-GUIDED PEDAL ARTERY ACCESS CADAVER COURSE JULY 21, 2016
What is the CVC Conference?
Once a year, a group of impactful and motivated medical professionals
dedicated to endovascular treatment of arterial and venous disease gather
for the CVC experience. CVC is a winning formula of world-renowned faculty,
dedicated attendees and ground-breaking content in an immersive and focused
atmosphere.
CVC was created from the ground-up, based on an understanding of its
attendees’ needs. A simple yet effective concept of two simultaneous sessions
spanning three days of dynamic educational experience followed by a unique
cadaver lab ultrasound-guided pedal access course. This year the arterial track
is packed with cutting-edge content including critical limb ischemia, below-
the-knee intervention, wound care, anti-restenosis therapies, aortic disease,
atherectomy, complications and complex endovascular intervention. New
this year, we introduce an acute stroke education program that highlights the
advancements in the management of acute stroke in 2016. Also this year, we
present SHOCK and AWE - complex case presentations with panel discussion,
an opportunity to learn from case-based presentations of the most challenging
complications and how to recover.
CVC’s venous program is one of the premiere venous programs in the country,
multidisciplinary and practical approach to venous education. This year, we will
to treatment of facial and hand veins, don’t miss this unique opportunity. As
always, we will present fresh new content on the treatment of deep venous
much more.
In this era of change, the Business of Medicine sections will continue to
enlighten all who attend with practical and thought-provoking topics. The
icing on the cake is always the ultrasound guided pedal artery access cadaver
course and the live venous ultrasound workshops.
I look forward to seeing your this year at CVC 2016.

CVC is committed to the education of fellows in order to train the future generation of leaders treating peripheral
arterial and venous disease. Every year, CVC offers scholarships to fellows enrolled in accredited vascular
surgery, cardiology/ interventional cardiology and interventional radiology fellowship programs. We are proud
provide a limited number of fellows, which include registration fees, airfare/travel expenses (maximum $500) and
registration fees.
Fellows are required to attend at least 2 full days of the conference in addition to one of the following:

CME/CE ACTIVITY PURPOSE
endovascular research and innovation in techniques
that will allow participants to expand their knowledge
and translate it directly into their practice.
INTENDED AUDIENCE
CVC 2016 is intended for interventionalists, vascular
surgeons, general cardiologists, phlebologists,
hospitalists, podiatrists, as well as fellows, physician
assistants, residents, radiological technologists
and other healthcare professionals interested in
endovascular disease management.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be
able to:
• Implement clinical guidelines and case studies to
the selection of medical, surgical, and endovascular
treatment options for vascular disease in various
patient populations
• Analyze risk assessment and diagnostic methods
in peripheral arterial, carotid, and venous diseases
• Evaluate characteristics of vascular anatomy
that relate to case and access site selection, and
noninvasive and invasive imaging techniques
• Compare and contrast medical, surgical, and
endovascular treatment options for peripheral
arterial, carotid, and venous diseases
• Identify complications that commonly
occur following endovascular and surgical
revascularization and develop management
strategies to address these complications
• Analyze recent clinical trial data comparing various
treatment modalities in the management of
vascular disease
METHOD OF PARTICIPATION
This activity will consist of lectures and debates that
include discussion of case studies with collateral
slides, and interactive question and answer sessions.

What is theCVC Conference? Once a year, a group of impactful and motivated medical professionals dedicated to endovascular treatment of arterial and venous disease gather for the CVC experience. CVC is a winning formula of world-renowned faculty, dedicated attendees and ground-breaking content in an immersive and focused atmosphere. CVC was created from the ground-up, based on an understanding of its attendees’ needs. A simple yet effective concept of two simultaneous sessions spanning three days of dynamic educational experience followed by a unique cadaver lab ultrasound-guided pedal access course. This year the arterial track is packed with cutting-edge content including critical limb ischemia, below- the-knee intervention, wound care, anti-restenosis therapies, aortic disease, atherectomy, complications and complex endovascular intervention. New this year, we introduce an acute stroke education program that highlights the advancements in the management of acute stroke in 2016. Also this year, we present SHOCK and AWE - complex case presentations with panel discussion, an opportunity to learn from case-based presentations of the most challenging complications and how to recover. CVC’s venous program is one of the premiere venous programs in the country, multidisciplinary and practical approach to venous education. This year, we will to treatment of facial and hand veins, don’t miss this unique opportunity. As always, we will present fresh new content on the treatment of deep venous much more. In this era of change, the Business of Medicine sections will continue to enlighten all who attend with practical and thought-provoking topics.
