The Event Reporting dashboard allows you to track and trend, on a rolling 12/24 month basis, the number and frequency of specific events and event categories, number of near misses, and occurrence rates for a wide variety of events, as shown in the figure below. From the dashboard, you can drill into details that can help you improve patient care and reduce costs. For example, from the medication errors category, you can see how many events were related to adverse reactions, how often medication was administered to the wrong patient, and how often the medication was the wrong strength or concentration. With those details, you can take timely and appropriate action to improve patient outcomes.
