The compressor is located in the outdoor unit and the hydronic components are located in the indoor unit. The outdoor unit and indoor unit are connected with refrigerant piping. The compact outdoor unit extracts heat from the outside ambient air and transfers it inside through refrigerant piping to supply heating.
